I don't think cutbacks have much to do with it, Vivian. They had almost 40 stories about the race; it's just that virtually all of them was about process, not issues.

Perhaps it is the cutbacks that the newspapers have faced but I agree with you - the coverage has truly been sparse. It's a shame that the newspapers don't get into the game earlier.
